Times Vocabulary Builders : Now and Then
This series of books is designed to help 5-7-year-olds learn new words within a particular grammatical context. Each book in the series focuses on a specific aspect of the language.
Now and Then focuses on the present and past tense forms of the irregular verbs, e.g. buy bought, go went, take took; and verbs for which the past tense is not formed by just adding -ed, e.g. cry cried, fry fried. The sentences illustrating each verb have been well thought-out to help children understand the change in tense and recognise the change in spelling of verbs they commonly encounter. The clear type and appealing illustrations ensure that children will find this book a pleasurable learning experience.
