The Worry Webside

I've always been interested in all the worries that whiz around inside people's heads. When I was a little girl I loved reading the problem pages in my mum's magazines. I'd sympathize with the people who wrote the letters and try to work out what I'd do in their situation. When I started to write stories I found nearly all my made-up children had problems themselves. I was the writer, so I was the one who had to solve their problems somehow!

I have a funny teacher friend, Mr Hastings, who often tells me what goes on at his school. He said that some of the children in his class found it a bit embarrassing sitting round in a circle discussing their problems, so he'd come up with this idea of a Worry Box. The children could write out their secret worries
