More Taste Berries for Teens
Teen/Young Adult Nonfiction
"Being a teenager is one big roller-coaster ride-only you can't get off! One day you feel on top of the world, the next, in the dumps. One day you're confident, the next, unsure of yourself. I loved this book because it was helpful to find out other teens feel as do and that you can actually survive the constant ups and downs!
-Robby Taylor, 16
Celebrate "Teenville" with a Pocketful of Taste Berries!
Welcome to More Taste Berries for Teens, a book of some two hundred stories by teens for teens. If you haven't yet had a chance to read the popular Taste Berries for Teens or its companion Taste Berries for Teens Journal, you're probably asking, "What is a taste berry?" A taste berry is a delicious little fruit that convinces the taste buds that all food-even something as sour as a lemon-is sweet! People can be "taste berries" for each other. When we help someone ease the bitter taste of a sad heart or a tough time, when we share goodwill and joy, then we are offering them a "taste berry" by helping them see their lives in a positive light.
Teens know a great deal about needing and being "taste berries." From pimples to braces; first kiss to breaking up; mak-, ing friends to helping a friend through her parents' divorce; from getting a driver's license to sorting out were they'd like to travel to in life, teens share with other teens their experiences on how best to make their way on the roller-coaster ride of a thrilling yet turbulent-time so many call "Teenville."
